  • Description

Depart Toronto early in the morning and head to the Thousand Islands Scenic Area. Pass through Kingston, Canada's former capital. Enjoy a drive-by view of the Old Parliament Building, now the City Hall, an 18th-century British-style lighthouse, and the oldest east-west locomotive. The route also takes you past an imposing ornate prison, the former residence of Canada's first Prime Minister, and the prestigious Queen's University. Board the Thousand Islands Sightseeing Cruise (approximately 1 hour) to experience the charm of the Thousand Islands, one of Canada's three great natural wonders.

Afterwards, travel to Montreal, known as the "Little Paris of North America". Visit the Old Port, a popular attraction in Montreal. You can ride the Ferris wheel to admire the spectacular views of the city. Located not far from Place Jacques-Cartier in the Old Port, the Ferris wheel was built to celebrate Montreal's 375th anniversary. On this slowly rotating 60-metre-high wheel, visitors can enjoy extraordinary vistas stretching 28 kilometres across Montreal and its surrounding areas. Wander through Montreal's atmospheric Old Town, where simple yet magnificent architecture lets you soak up strong European flair. Step inside the ornate historic Notre-Dame Basilica, the sister church of Notre-Dame de Paris and the venue where Canadian singer Celine Dion held her wedding. More than just a magnificent building, Notre-Dame Basilica offers a moving journey embodying faith, history and art.

Your local ground agent will arrange for you to experience the AURA light show "And Then There Was Light". Immerse yourself in a captivating world of visuals and music, whose stunning beauty defies description. Whether you seek spiritual contemplation or artistic inspiration, this basilica will be a highlight of your Canadian trip.

*Note: Advance reservation is required for admission to the AURA light show.
Important notice: Tickets for the light show allow free cancellation with full refund only up to 14 days prior to departure.
If the light show is cancelled due to church events, or visitors are unable to attend due to objective factors or force majeure, the full ticket fee will be refunded with no additional compensation. Please acknowledge this upon registration. If the light show is unavailable, this sightseeing stop will be replaced by Saint Joseph's Oratory.

  • Description

After breakfast, we will head to the Sucrerie de l'Érable in Trois-Rivières. Quebec is Canada's major producer of distinctive maple syrup. A sugar shack is a facility where maple sap is collected and maple food products are made during maple season. We will enjoy a traditional lunch at the estate (if the maple sugar estate is closed, lunch will be arranged at an alternative venue) in a warm and lively atmosphere. There will be an opportunity to taste free lollipops made from fresh maple sugar. Afterwards, we travel to Quebec City, Canada's oldest city, the only walled city in North America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. First, we will ascend to the observation deck on the 31st floor of the Marie-Guyart Building, the tallest structure in the city, to overlook the entire city of Quebec and the battleground of the historic Anglo-French colonial conflicts, while our guide narrates the gripping stories of the Anglo-French wars. We will then enter Old Quebec. Built atop a cliff, the old town features North America's only intact fortified city walls. Within the district lie numerous ancient churches, monasteries, the Battery Park with historic relics, the French-style Place d'Armes, the Parliament Building of Quebec, and renowned historic landmarks including the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac and the star-shaped Citadelle. The architecture of the old town exudes distinctive French charm and serves as an exemplary model of a colonial fortified city. We will savour a leisurely French-style dinner at a characteristic restaurant in Quebec City. Amid a cosy and elegant setting, we taste dishes infused with local flavours and experience the unique allure and laid-back pace shaped by the blend of French and North American cultures. Check into the hotel for rest after dinner.

Complimentary upgrade to Fairmont Tremblant, Mont-Tremblant (room only, no breakfast)

  • Description

Having bid farewell to the enchanting Old Quebec City that has long lingered in my thoughts, I will now take you to see the remarkable Montmorency Falls (commonly known as the "Crystal Falls"). It is the tallest waterfall in Quebec and reputedly one of the three major waterfalls in the Americas. Boasting an 83-metre drop, 1.5 times that of Niagara Falls, massive volumes of water plunge from steep cliffs straight into the St. Lawrence River, presenting a spectacular sight. Stroll across the ancient suspension bridge atop the falls and truly experience the poetic beauty of "waters cascading down three thousand feet". Take a cable car to admire the grandeur of the waterfall and the gorgeous scenery on both banks of the St. Lawrence River. In spring and summer, everything thrives here with a pleasant climate, making it an ideal retreat for leisure. In autumn, forests are dyed in a riot of colours, unfolding like a magnificent painting. After lunch, we will head to Mont-Tremblant Resort, hailed as the "Little Banff of the East". Mont-Tremblant Village, featuring distinct French-style architecture, will make you feel as if you are wandering in an ancient European town. Built along the mountain slopes, the resort offers cable car rides from the foot of the mountain up to Mont Tremblant (3,300 feet), the highest peak in Eastern Canada. As the cable car ascends slowly past murmuring fountains, the entire resort unfolds beneath your feet. Looking down, you will see the colourful rooftops of the resort, rolling mountain ranges in the distance and winding lakes, forming a stunning landscape of mountains and waters. The panoramic view from the summit lets you overlook all surrounding mountains. Buildings in the village feature European styling and rich French charm, constructed following the mountain terrain. Wandering along cobblestone lanes, you can fully soak in the European ambience of the resort. Surrounded by jade-green foliage that complements the village architecture, its breathtaking scenery rivals that of Banff in Western Canada.
