Description
Olympic National Park is a famous national park located in the state of Washington! The park has four basic regions: the Pacific coastline, alpine areas, the west side temperate rainforest and the forests of the drier east side. The Olympic Peninsula has 73 miles of beautiful and breathtaking coastline views! Make sure to take a look at the magnificent Olympic Mountains in the center! Due to Olympic National Park being isolated from the mainland, much of its vegetation and animals can only be found here. Explore with us today one of the most highly visited National Parks along the west coast!
Itinerary:
Seattle - Bainbridge Ferry (45 mins, ticket included) → Hood Canal Floating Bridge (Pass By) → Olympic National Park (Ticket included) → Hurricane Ridge (90 mins) → Lake Crescent (105 mins) → Bainbridge - Seattle Ferry (45 mins)
Notes:
1. In case of closure of Hurricane Ridge or other irresistible factors (such as heavy rain, mudslides and other extreme weather), the itinerary will be changed to Ediz Hook (30 mins) → East Beach (30 mins).
2. During public holidays, traffic disruptions may occur. If ferry waiting times become excessively long, we will not take the ferry on the return trip.
Olympic National Park
Olympic National Park, nestled on the Olympic Peninsula, is one of the most famous national parks in the American West and attracts numerous visitors. The vast park encompasses nearly one million acres and offers over 900 miles of hiking trails. The majestic Olympic Mountains tower majestically in the center of the peninsula, their 60 glaciers shimmering in the sky. To the west lies a valley teeming with lush rainforest. With 73 miles of Pacific coastline, Olympic National Park boasts a pristine coastal landscape. With its breathtaking natural scenery and wildlife, nature lovers will find their dream escape here.
Hurricane Ridge
Hurricane Cliffs is 5,700 feet high and towering into the clouds. Visitors can climb to the lookout point of Hurricane Cliffs to overlook the pristine forest and the beautiful scenery of Port of Angels, or enjoy the scenery along the way and stroll between the sky.
Lake Crescent
Crescent Lake is about 19 kilometers long and covers an area of about 21 square kilometers. It is named after its shape similar to a crescent moon, but it is not as beautiful as its name suggests, but a spectacular and broad scenery. The clear water and blue sky are full of mystery.
Ediz Hook
Ediz Hook is a long, thin peninsula that juts out from the Port Angeles Harbor. The vast open view of the hook showcases the blue and green colors of the Olympic Mountains and gives a faint view of Canada from across the water. Other than the group of stray community cats that roam the area, you are more than likely to find seals and peeks of orcas in the distance. Additionally, there is an abundance of different types of birds. At the very end of Ediz Hook there is a U.S. Coast Guard Station responsible for search and rescue, homeland security, and environmental maintenance.
East Beach
The aptly-named East Beach is tucked away on Lake Crescent’s northeastern end, less than one mile from Highway 101. Its convenient location makes it a popular spot, and this place fills up fast during the warm summer months. East Beach stretches from Stearns Wharf to the City limits just past the Clark Estate, on the eastern end of the four-mile stretch of City beach parks. East Beach offers picnic facilities, more than a dozen volleyball courts, a playground, and beautiful ocean views.
