Depart from Calgary or Banff in the morning and catch distant views of Crowfoot Glacier along the way. First, visit Bow Lake, where the silhouettes of the Rocky Mountains are clearly mirrored on the lake surface. You may also drop by Num-Ti-Jah Lodge by the lake to learn the story of Jimmy Simpson, a legendary guide of the Rockies. Next, head to Peyto Lake. In the event of force majeure such as scenic area maintenance or closure, the visit will be replaced with Waterfowl Lake. This maple-leaf-shaped lake looks like a turquoise ribbon embedded in the valley of the Rocky Mountains. Afterwards, a self-funded buffet lunch will be arranged at The Crossing Resort. Continue driving along the scenic Highway 93, the Icefields Parkway, to reach the Icefield Centre, where you will board the Ice Explorer Snowcoach to travel across the Athabasca Glacier and witness the accumulation formed by nature over hundreds of millions of years. Finally, drive back to Banff.

*The Ice Explorer Snowcoach operates from May 1 to October 12. Starting October 13, the itinerary will only include stops at scenic spots without the optional Ice Explorer Snowcoach activity.

When the weather is fine: Guests can take an easy 60-minute hike on the hills in front of the glacier to experience the icefield scenery up close.

When the weather is poor: Following the tour guide’s arrangement, guests will view the glacier from a distance, and Waterfowl Lake will be added as an extra stop.

We depart from the hotel early in the morning and soon arrive at Lake Louise, the most famous lake in the Canadian Rockies. Bathed in sunlight, its mineral-rich waters shimmer with an enchanting sapphire blue, encircled on three sides by the towering Victoria Glacier. Resembling a jade gem scattered amid the mountains, it earns the moniker "Sapphire of the Rockies". Glancing back from the lakeshore, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise stands serenely among pine forests, welcoming all visitors. Later, we hike to the trail’s summit, where the vivid, clear waters of seasonal Moraine Lake reflect the jagged Ten Peaks. Standing at this vantage point, the full grandeur of lake and mountain unfolds before your eyes, making time slip away unnoticed. After leaving Moraine Lake, we head to Lake Louise Village for lunch (at your own expense; Chinese or Western plated meals can be pre-booked). Following lunch, we continue westbound, passing through the Spiral Tunnel built through the blood, sweat and toil of Pacific Railway labourers to enter Yoho National Park. We then reach the secluded Emerald Lake, where red cedar canoes trail ripples across its tranquil surface. Next stop is Natural Bridge, carved over millennia by the rushing Kicking Horse River. The waterway, ancient pine trees, distant mountain ranges and shallow shoals combine to form a breathtaking natural landscape. On the return journey, we make a stop at Banff Town before driving back to Calgary.

    *Moraine Lake: Seasonal Access
Reference opening period: Victoria Day long weekend in May through late September to early October, subject to official notices from Parks Canada.
If Moraine Lake is closed and inaccessible, alternative attractions will be provided: Lake Minnewanka (30 mins) + Two Jack Lake (15 mins). Mandatory fees for Moraine Lake will be fully waived in such cases.
