    Visit the historical and iconic mining town of Virginia City (optional fee), which also the place where Mark Twain began his reporting career. During its boom time in the late 19th century, it had over 15,000 residents, and the mining industry was worth millions of dollars - equaling billions today. We then head to Lake Tahoe where you can take a boat ride on this "jewel of the Sierras" in Northern California (optional fee). We'll return back to the Bay Area in the evening.
